* We play rockadelic music ~ a fresh blend of originals & covers that captures the wide open spirit of not being confined to a certain style.
* Joyfully inspired songs without commercial pretentiousness.
* Large musical “toolbox”: West African percussion, vocal harmonies, flute, bluesharp, violin add big color to solid roots of drums, keys, bass & two guitars.
* Top tier of musical talent, coming to you live from Portland, Maine.
Authentic West African percussion coupled with interesting yet accessible melodies allows for the songs to travel to new musical places. The lyrics could stand alone as simple poetry and the band’s competent arrangements support the emotion behind those lyrics, sung honestly by Al Timpson. The Strangely Possibles are in it to have fun but strive to keep it fresh. As one critic noted, “A tasty stew of musical flavors….T.S.P. serve up more than enough musical variety to satisfy the most jaded “heard-it-all-before” hipster.” All the band members have dedicated at least half of their working life to making music and their mastery is plainly evident. The band is honing its sixth album. Their commitment to a wide array of styles and genres really keeps an audience engaged. Their live shows embrace a bunch of high energy covers to compliment their originals. "You can hear The Strangely Possibles on Spotify, Apple Music, & Soundcloud and check us out on FB & Instagram

He persistently nudges the band to get tighter and be more creative. He formally taught at the Portland Conservatory and he is just as his happy in an orchestra pit as he is laying down heavy funk with his Bass Guitar. It is an unusual treat to see Shannon’s musical imagination on display with his digital cello.

At 18, she traveled to Ghana, Africa to study djembe with a renown teacher/player who she met in Germany. Annegret is a founding member of Innana, Sisters in Rhythm and the Zulu Leprechauns. She loves teaching the art of drumming, especially to children.
